Our Mission

Franklin County Emergency Management & Homeland Security coordinates and prepares for county-wide all-hazards disaster planning, community education, warning, training, grant funding, response, and recovery efforts in order to prepare and protect the citizens of Franklin County before, during, and after natural and man-made disasters.



MEET DIRECTOR JEFF YOUNG


Jeffrey J. Young brings a history of steady leadership and extensive experience in public safety including preparing for and responding to a wide range of local and national disasters.  Director Young has a strong belief in developing and maintaining solid working relationships with all jurisdictions and partner agencies that serve the residents of Central Ohio.

MEET THE  STAFF


FCEM&HS staff provides coordination and services in emergency/disaster planning, education, warning, response and recovery as prescribed by the Ohio Revised Code for the 42 jurisdictions within Franklin County. Staff members are knowledgeable in all aspects of emergency management and each member manages projects and programs based on their particular areas of expertise.

MEET THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE


The Franklin County Emergency Management & Homeland Security Executive Committee is comprised of 14 representatives from various municipalities, townships and villages in Franklin County. The committee oversees the overall operations and policies for the agency.
