Recovery program

The Franklin County Emergency Management & Homeland Security Recovery Program is responsible for working with stakeholders and local jurisdictions to coordinate the immediate and long-term recovery of the community following a disaster in accordance with the Franklin County Disaster Recovery Plan. This includes the provision of local, state, federal and private sector disaster assistance for those with unmet needs. The program is also responsible for coordinating the state and federal public assistance and individual assistance programs.

ASSISTANCE FOR BUSINESSES


The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) can make federally subsidized loans to repair or replace businesses that sustained disaster related damages not covered by insurance.

ASSISTANCE FOR GOVERNMENTS AND PRIVATE-NON-PROFITS


Government entities and certain private-non-profits are eligible to receive assistance to recover funds used while responding to disasters. Grants can also be sought to help make repairs to roads, infrastructure, and public facilities.
