The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Heat Advisory in effect from 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2016 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016 for Franklin County.  

Heat index values could reach 100 to 102 degrees due to temperatures in the lower 90s. Heat Stroke, Heat Exhaustion and other heat related illnesses are possible for those who spend a significant amount of time outdoors or involved in outdoor strenuous activity.
