The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Heat Advisory for Franklin County today from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. this evening.  

Heat index values could reach 103 degrees due to temperatures in the lower 90s. Heat Stroke, Heat Exhaustion and other heat related illnesses are possible for those who spend a significant amount of time outdoors or involved in outdoor strenuous activity.
